Deposits and Project Scheduling

A 50% deposit is required before any project is scheduled, materials are ordered, or work begins. This deposit allows J&H Contractors Services to reserve crew availability, secure materials, schedule equipment, and prepare for the project. The remaining balance is due according to the payment terms listed in the estimate, invoice, or written agreement provided to the customer.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Once a project has been approved and scheduled, cancellations, postponements, or rescheduling requests may result in a cancellation or rescheduling fee of up to $1,000. This fee may apply when a customer cancels, delays, or reschedules the project after J&H Contractors Services has reserved labor, equipment, materials, or production time for the job.

Customer-Caused Delays

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the project site is ready and accessible on the scheduled start date. Customer-caused delays may include, but are not limited to, lack of access to the property, incomplete approvals, failure to prepare the work area, last-minute changes, or failure to make required payments. If a customer-caused delay prevents J&H Contractors Services from starting or continuing the project as scheduled, a delay or rescheduling fee of up to $1,000 may apply.

Weather, Permit, and Company-Caused Delays

Delays caused by weather, unsafe working conditions, permitting issues, inspections, supplier delays, or circumstances outside the control of J&H Contractors Services are not considered customer-caused delays. J&H Contractors Services reserves the right to adjust the project schedule when necessary due to weather, safety concerns, material availability, permit requirements, or other reasonable business conditions.

Deposit Refunds

Deposits may be used to cover costs already incurred by J&H Contractors Services, including labor scheduling, administrative work, materials, equipment reservations, supplier fees, and lost production time. If a project is cancelled after materials have been ordered, labor has been scheduled, or preparation work has begun, part or all of the deposit may be non-refundable.

Changes to Project Scope

Any changes requested by the customer after approval of the estimate or agreement may affect the project price, timeline, and required deposit amount. Changes must be approved in writing before additional work is performed.
